QUITE WARM TODAY AND TOMORROW; RAIN POSSIBLE AT TIMES FRIDAY AND SATURDAY… High temperatures will be at or just above the 80 degree mark this afternoon as temperatures remain about 10-15 degrees above our climatological norms for this time of year. Mostly sunny skies are expected today and tomorrow. Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s in most spots tomorrow morning. Showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms will become possible as we get into Friday and Saturday.
WARM DAYS, COOL NIGHTS THIS WEEK… No real change to the forecast logic through Thursday in that we are expecting warm days with afternoon high temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s. Mostly clear nights are likely with overnight lows in the 50s and 60s. Our pattern begins to change later this week as a frontal boundary approaches from the northwest.
SHOWERS POSSIBLE AT TIMES FRIDAY AND SATURDAY… Spotty showers and maybe a few thunderstorms will be possible on Friday and again on Saturday. I am not expecting “all day washout” conditions nor am I expecting a significantly beneficial rain event, unfortunately. Scattered showers will be possible Friday morning with another round of rain being possible in the afternoon and evening hours. It is too early to know specifics. Severe storms seem unlikely for now.
TROPICS QUIET… The Gulf, Caribbean Sea, and Atlantic Ocean remain quiet with no new tropical storms expected to develop over the next 5-7 days. The 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season will end on Sunday, November 30.
