GORDON STRENGTHENS A LITTLE…
Maximum sustained winds near the center of Tropical Storm Gordon have increased to 70mph, per latest 4PM NHC advisory. Still moving rapidly northwest at 15mph. Heavy rain now happening across much of northwest Florida as impacts begin to spread inland.

RADAR CHECK… Quick 3:49PM check of the radar shows scattered showers and thunderstorms happening across portions of Clarke and Monroe counties. The shield of more constant rain associated with Gordon is moving into Covington, Escambia [AL], and southern Baldwin counties. Much of northwest Florida is now being covered in moderate, steady rainfall.
