Heads up if you’re in Choctaw or Washington counties in west Alabama… The main line of storms is quickly approaching Choctaw and northern Washington counties (both in far west Alabama) from the west. I wouldn’t be shocked to see a severe thunderstorm warning issued shortly for places like Gilbertown, Millry, Silas, Toxey, Butler (the city, not the county), Pennington, Silver Cross, and Frankville. Damaging straight line winds will be the main concern. This is a strong line of storms that has a history of downing trees and causing 50+ mph confirmed wind gusts in Hattiesburg, MS.
