The National Hurricane Center now says there is a 60% chance of a tropical storm developing in the Gulf of Mexico this weekend. That’s up from 50% overnight. Tropical storm classification or not, heavy rain and flash flooding will be significant concerns this weekend across our area.
Depending on the specific track of the system, tornadoes and wind hazards may also become possible.
