Numerous showers and thunderstorms are happening across south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Saturday afternoon. These are our classic, seabreeze-induced thunderstorms and are not associated with Subtropical Storm Alberto. At the moment, the heaviest rain is happening near Allentown, Whiting Field, Elberta, Nokomis, Repton, Chilton, Zimco, and Thomasville.\
Storms will continue to pop up and cause heavy rain, cloud-to-ground lightning, and gusty winds.
The heavier, Alberto-related rain starts this evening first across coastal counties before spreading inland overnight.
