Showers and thunderstorms continue to pop up across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Clearly, the storm action has been a bit hindered in development so far today because of the morning showers/clouds that were in place across our region. That deck of clouds has eroded somewhat, and storms are beginning to fire up. At the moment, heavy rain is happening along FL87 and FL89 in Santa Rosa County. Big storms are in progress near Dixie, Dixonville, Jay, Berrydale, Allentown, Pace, Woodbine, Gonzalez, Ensley, and areas on the northern side of the Pensacola metro.
We also note storms have fired along the AL59 corridor near Loxley and Bay Minette. I’ll continue to monitor radar trends and let you know if any of the storms becomes stronger or severe.
