GORDON FORECAST ON TRACK… The National Hurricane Center has just issued the 4PM CDT advisory package for Tropical Storm Gordon, which now has maximum sustained winds of 70 mph near the center of circulation. Despite a noted “wobble” on radar data of Gordon’s center to the right/north of the forecast track, NHC feels confident (in their 4PM discussion) that a southeast Mississippi landfall is the most likely scenario. TORNADO RISK CONTINUES… The isolated tornado risk continues near the Alabama and northwest Florida beaches. A low-end tornado risk will continue to slowly spread inland across southwest Alabama in the hours ahead. Have a way to receive urgent weather warnings before you go to sleep tonight as tornadoes will be MORE likely to happen when our area is on the east side of the system.
