LANDFALL OF GORDON WILL HAPPEN TONIGHT… The National Hurricane Center has issued their latest advisory (7PM CDT) on Tropical Storm Gordon, with the center being located 70 miles south of Mobile, Alabama or 75 miles southeast of Biloxi, Mississippi. On the current trajectory, Gordon will make landfall in southeast Mississippi as a strong tropical storm or as a category 1 hurricane. The time for Gordon to strengthen into a hurricane is quickly running out, however. Once the system moves on land, rapid weakening of the inner core is expected.
