NICE, SUNNY THURSDAY; WET SATURDAY AHEAD… Our weather remains quiet and nice on this Thursday with plenty of sunshine in store for south Alabama and northwest Florida. High temperatures will be near the 80 degree mark in most spots. There are a few areas of dense fog in place across the region this morning, but that should burn off by 10AM. Another cold front is scheduled to move by our region on Saturday. This means that widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected. Let’s talk details…
SHOWERS & STORMS POSSIBLE P.M. FRIDAY… No rain issues are expected today (Thursday), but there could be a few isolated showers and thunderstorms that pop up in the afternoon and evening hours of Friday. There is an overall small chance that some high school football games across the region could be wet at times. Grab the umbrella and rain gear and keep it handy!
MORE STORMS SATURDAY… Rain chances will be elevated for Saturday, with numerous showers and thunderstorms expected ahead of a cold front that will pass by late Saturday evening or Sunday morning. At this point, severe weather is unlikely.
COOLER TEMPS COMING… Another reinforcing shot of cooler air is expected to start filtering in behind the cold front on Sunday. High temperatures on Monday will be near the 70 degree mark across much of our area. Overnight lows Monday and Tuesday will be near 50°, with some spots likely to be in the upper-40s.
TROPICS QUIET… No issues to report on in the tropics. Good news! The Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico will likely have no tropical storm formation through Tuesday.
