STRONG STORMS NEAR PENSACOLA… I’ve been monitoring the supercell thunderstorms near and just south of the Pensacola metro over the last hour. These storms are producing lots of lightning and very heavy rain over Gulf Breeze and Pensacola Beach.
These storms will continue moving into far southeastern Baldwin, southern Escambia (FL), and Santa Rosa counties over the next few minutes.
TORNADO RISK UPDATE… The warm front is still draped just offshore, thus the severe weather risk remains low at the moment. The risk of tornadoes will increase over the next few hours near the immediate coastline.
