⚠️Freeze Warning issued for the western half of Alabama and Escambia & Santa Rosa counties in NW Florida… Temps will be quite chilly in the morning, near 30-34° in most spots locally. First big cold air moment of the season! pic.twitter.com/BvxVuZ1z5t

COLD TEMPERATURES OVERNIGHT… The first significant cold air of the season will cause temperatures to make a run at the freezing mark (32°) by 6AM on Thursday. Temperatures won’t be below 32° for very long on Thursday, but temperatures will be cold enough to potentially kill highly sensitive plants and vegetation.
NO SNOW… Rumors on social media continue to propagate the incorrect thought that snow/mixed precipitation will happen locally. That is simply not the case, at all. Rain will exit our area to the east tonight and into Thursday morning before the significant cold air arrives. Moreover, there is a big slot of warm, drier air in the mid levels of the atmosphere. No snow or mix for the local area!
