NEXT FEW HOURS… Scattered showers will continue to pop up and move northward across south Alabama and northwest Florida. I also expect the axis of heavy rain and thunderstorms currently over southeast Mississippi to slide a bit to the southeast into Clarke, Choctaw, and Washington counties. Unfortunately, these areas have already had tremendous amounts of rain over the last 12 hours. Any additional rain will only exacerbate flash flooding issues.

The tornado risk remains very low, but it’s not zero. Thus, we all need a way to receive warnings before we go to sleep. If we have tornado warnings, we will go into our live streaming coverage mode across our platforms.
