SEVERE WEATHER RISK RAPIDLY DIMINISHING… Storms are “loud and proud” in west Alabama this evening, producing quite a bit of thunder and lightning in parts of Clarke, Choctaw, Washington, and Wilcox counties. Heavy rain is happening along the U.S. Highway 43 corridor between Thomasville and Grove Hill near Fulton and Springfield. Same thing along the U.S. 84 corridor near Coffeeville and Silas – very heavy rain. These storms are moving northeast. The risk of any severe weather at this point is very, very low. I’ll be able to give an official “all clear” to the entirety of our local area within the next hour.
