ANOTHER ROUND OF ISOLATED STORMS THIS AFTERNOON… Our repeating weather pattern is set to continue this afternoon as a round of showers and thunderstorms pops up in the heat of the day. High temperatures will peak in the low- to mid-90s across the region today. Our weather will remain consistent through the Fourth of July and into the weekend, with the only difference being the weekend will feature more in the way of afternoon and evening thunderstorms. You can check the radar throughout the day at redzoneweather.com/radar. Let’s talk about a few forecast details…
HEAT, HUMIDITY, P.M. STORMS TO CONTINUE… I continue to check the short- and long range weather models each day hoping to see some variance. There just isn’t anything giving consistent signals that we have major weather changes on the way. That is typical in the summertime around here. If you like consistency, the next few days are for you! High temperatures will be in the 90s through Friday with a chance of pop-up thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours.
FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS FORECAST… Isolated thunderstorms will be possible during the evening hours on Thursday. Many locales are having fireworks displays across the region. There is about a 1 in 3 chance that your locale will have rain around during the fireworks time slot (7PM to 11PM). Unfortunately, due to the nature of pop-up thunderstorms, we won’t be able to pinpoint exactly who will have rain during that timeframe until about 5PM on Thursday.
EARLY PREVIEW OF THE WEEKEND… Rain chances will be slightly higher for the weekend. We’ll call it a 50-60% chance of storms in the afternoon and evening hours. High temperatures will be in the 90s.
