CLEARING SKIES TODAY; NEXT RAIN CHANCE HAPPENS FRIDAY… Cool, dry, stable air is filtering into Alabama and northwest Florida on this Tuesday. High temperatures will be in the mid-70s today with clearing skies as we get into the afternoon and evening hours. We’ll have chilly air in place on Wednesday morning as inland areas drop into the upper-40s! Our next chance of rain happens on Friday and early indications for the weekend point to scattered showers. Let’s look at a few details…
CLOUDS CLEAR OUT TODAY; SUNNY ON WEDNESDAY… Lingering showers and clouds will move out to our east over the next few hours. Most spots should be under partly cloudy skies by 1PM. Clouds will continue to move out and most locales will be under mostly sunny skies near sunset. High temperatures will be in the mid-70s around 3PM. Plenty of sunshine is likely on Wednesday with high temperatures again in the mid-70s.
FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE LATE THURSDAY… Much of the day on Thursday will be dry with highs again in the 70s. There could be a few showers after sunset, but for now, severe weather issues are not expected on Thursday evening.
NEXT SIGNIFICANT RAIN CHANCE ON FRIDAY… Showers and thunderstorms are possible on Friday as a frontal boundary approaches from the west. There is a chance that some of the storms locally on Friday could be on the strong side, but it is too early to give severe weather specifics at this time. This is something to monitor over the next few days.
SHOWERS POSSIBLE THIS WEEKEND… An increasingly unsettled weather pattern will likely set up as we go into the upcoming weekend. Showers seem likely at times on Saturday and on Sunday. High temperatures will be in the 70s with lows in the 60s.
