QUITE CHILLY TODAY; RAIN LIKELY LATE THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY… After temperatures surging to near 80 degrees across parts of our area on Tuesday, most spots will struggle to get to 55 degrees this afternoon! We’ll be quite chilly throughout the day with a brisk wind out of the northeast at 5-15 mph throughout the day. Lingering showers should gradually come to an end in the hours ahead. Another round of rain is set to happen late Thursday into Friday as an area of low pressure develops to our south and lifts to the northeast. The good news is we are not seeing any signals of severe weather or winter weather mischief with this system, however. Let’s look at your forecast specifics.
COLD NIGHT AHEAD… While we will very likely remain well above the freezing mark, another cold night is upcoming. Temperatures will be in the 40s by 8PM tonight. Most spots will end up in the 39-41° range on the thermometer by 6AM on Thursday.
ANOTHER ROUND OF RAIN LATE THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY… Mostly cloudy skies are expected on Thursday ahead of rain chances increasing late in the evening hours. Temperatures will be in the 50s during the daytime hours of Thursday and in the 40s on Thursday evening, thus ruling out any potential for snow or wintry precipitation. Friday will be quite wet at times with the potential for rain showers existing throughout the day. Temperatures will rebound into the 60s in the afternoon hours of Friday.
DRIER WEEKEND ON TAP… Sunshine is likely to return on Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures will be in the upper-60s each day. Any lingering rain showers should be well to our east by early Saturday morning.
ANOTHER COLD FRONT TO MOVE BY LATE MONDAY… Yet another round of rain and potentially a few thunderstorms is expected to happen on Monday into Tuesday of the upcoming week as another reinforcing shot of cold air moves in from the northwest. Highs on Monday will be in the 70s, but we’ll be in the 50s on Tuesday afternoon.
