SEVERE WEATHER RISK NOW THROUGH THIS EVENING; TORNADO WATCH TILL 4PM… Severe thunderstorms, with tornadoes and damaging winds being the main concerns, are about to move across the heart of south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Saturday. A Tornado Watch continues for ALL local counties valid until 4PM. Isolated storms seem to be developing out ahead of the main line of storms, although the storm mode is a bit “messier” than expected, thus potentially helping to mitigate rapid development of supercells. Tornadoes and damaging winds will be possible in your location across Alabama and northwest Florida until the main line of storms passes through. The severe weather risk will end once the squall line completely clears out of your area.

We continue to monitor radar trends carefully as strong to severe storms move into west Alabama
