SHOWERS MOVING EASTWARD… Areas of rain continue to move eastward across south Alabama on this Tuesday at midday. The heaviest rain locally is happening in southern Washington County near Deer Park, McIntosh, and Vinegar Bend. Moderate to heavy rain is also happening at the moment near Citronelle, Earlville, and Mount Vernon in northern Mobile County. This band of showers extends northeast into Monroe County all the way to Beatrice.

WHAT TO EXPECT – THIS AFTERNOON… The mass of rain currently moving east across our area will approach the Interstate 65 corridor over the next hour. This means if you’re in Evergreen, Greenville, Georgiana, Castleberry, Brewton, Appleton, Atmore, Poarch, Bay Minette, Saraland, or surrounding areas, you’re next in line to have rain. So far, we have have no issues with lightning but I wouldn’t be surprised to have some intermittent storms and occasional lightning/thunder this afternoon. High temperatures will peak around 76° in most spots.
