DAMAGING WIND THREAT… Heads up if you’re in northern Clarke, northern Monroe, or northern Conecuh counties. This batch of storms over west-central Alabama is moving into your area soon. The main concern is not tornadoes, but rather damaging winds that may knock over a few trees.

The tornado warning continues for east-central Choctaw County till 5:15PM and while we encourage everyone near Butler and Mt. Sterling to remain sheltered, it is clear that this is more of a damaging wind threat as opposed to a large tornado. Keep in mind that sometimes damaging wind gusts can do just as much damage as a tornado! Respect the warning and remain sheltered in east-central Choctaw County over the next few minutes!
