SHOWERS & STORMS MOVING EAST… Showers and thunderstorms continue to move eastward across south Alabama and northwest Florida early on this Friday morning. The heaviest rain as of 2:30AM is happening near Destin, Crestview, and Florala.
NEXT FEW HOURS… Intermittent showers and perhaps a thunderstorm or two will be possible through 9AM. I am not expecting any more severe weather warnings and there is a good chance that thunder will be kept to a minimum now that the atmosphere has stabilized a bit more. Rain will be gone by mid-morning and skies will begin to clear by midday. Mostly sunny skies are expected by 3PM with high temperatures only in the low- to mid-70s!
