SHOWERS OVER WEST ALABAMA…  Scattered showers continue across parts of Baldwin, Mobile, Clarke, Washington, and Choctaw counties. These showers will continue to rapidly stream to the north over the next hour or so. Storms are firing up to our west across Mississippi and Louisiana. The line of storms forming in south central Louisiana, just west of Baton Rouge, are particularly intriguing as these are probably some of the storms that will approach our area later this evening. I’ll keep watching radar trends carefully over the next few hours and bring you the latest here in the RZWeather app and at redzoneweather.com.

TORNADO WATCH LATER THIS EVENING… Our area will most likely need to go under a Tornado Watch at some point after 3PM. A Particularly Dangerous Situation (PDS) Tornado Watch continues for much of  central and north Mississippi. A new Tornado Watch has also just been issued for southern Mississippi and much of central Louisiana.
