QUITE CHILLY OVERNIGHT; FROST ADVISORY FOR MUCH OF ALABAMA… Cold temperatures are expected overnight and around daybreak on Tuesday. Temperatures could be as cold as 34-35° across inland counties. A Frost Advisory is in effect for the northern two-thirds of Alabama basically north of a line from Linden to Fort Deposit to Troy to Eufaula. That includes areas just north of our northern communities like Thomasville and Greenville. This means that Birmingham, Auburn, Tuscaloosa, Montgomery, Huntsville, Gadsden, Troy, Alex City, and surrounding areas are all involved in the Frost Advisory.

ELECTION DAY FORECAST… Sunny skies are expected across all parts of south Alabama and northwest Florida for Election Day 2020. High temperatures will be around 70 degrees. Perfect weather day to get out and vote!

NEXT UPDATE ON HURRICANE ETA… Eta remains a powerful, category 4 hurricane approaching the Nicaragua coast this evening. Life-threatening storm surge, catastrophic winds, flash flooding, and landslides will be possible across parts of Central America in the hours ahead as powerful Eta approaches. I am in the process of writing up a detailed post that will debut around 8:45PM this evening as we now have some concerns that Eta could wind up somewhere closer to the USA in several days. Be sure to check back with me around 8:45PM for that.
