MAINLY SUNNY TODAY; RAIN AT TIMES TOMORROW… After a very cold start his morning, temperatures will moderate this afternoon into the upper-50s. Mostly sunny skies will continue this morning ahead of increasing cloudiness this afternoon into this evening. Overnight lows will not be as cold tonight due in part to the increased amount of clouds. Most spots will end up in the mid-30s (above freezing in most cases) by daybreak on Thursday morning. Our next rain chance is slated to start on Thursday and extend into Friday as an area of low pressure passes very near our area. The good news is the weekend looks dry and mostly sunny. Temperatures will be near our climatological norms for this time of year. Below are a couple more Wednesday forecast notes.
RAIN AT TIMES THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY… An area of low pressure currently developing to our west today will gradually move northeast today and over the next few days. Showers and perhaps a thunderstorm or two will become possible across our region on Thursday as this system passes through. Showers also may linger into Friday, particularly in the morning hours. Temperatures will be closer to 60 degrees on both Thursday and Friday in the afternoon hours. Overnight lows will be well above the freezing mark, thus there is no potential for snow or mixed precipitation. The overall risk of severe weather issues also remains very low if not at zero.
SUNNY, COOL WEEKEND UPCOMING… The weekend ahead looks nice. High temperatures will be in the upper-50s and low-60s with morning lows in the mid-30s. Mostly sunny skies are expected each day.
