LINGERING SHOWERS POSSIBLE TODAY; SUNNY WEEKEND AHEAD… Occasional showers will be possible at times on this Thursday. High temperatures will be in the mid- to upper-50s this afternoon depending on where you are specifically across the region. Some spots in west Alabama like Grove Hill, Thomasville, Jackson, and Chatom likely won’t get out of the 40s this afternoon. Contrast that with areas near Niceville and Destin that may be in the mid-60s by 3PM. Rain will continue to gradually move out leaving cloudy skies for this evening. Fortunately, we have sunshine set to return on Friday and into the weekend ahead of warmer (!) days coming next week. I’ve got all of your Thursday forecast details below.
COLD NIGHTS AHEAD… Low temperatures will be near freezing by Friday morning and below freezing on Saturday morning and Sunday morning. We will finally come out of the icebox next week as temperatures gradually warm up. We will start the day on Monday in the mid-40s ahead of a high temperature in the mid-60s.
CLEARING SKIES ON FRIDAY… Clouds will likely linger into Friday morning ahead of clearing skies by the late morning or early afternoon hours. High temperatures tomorrow will struggle to get to the 50 degree mark. I expect most spots to end up in the mid- to upper-40s by 3PM on Friday. Skies will be clear by the time we get to sunset.
SUNNY, COOL WEEKEND… Plenty of sunshine is expected for both Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures will be near 60 each day. Temperatures will be near our climatological norms for this time of year this weekend. Get out and enjoy the beautiful days!
FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE MONDAY… We will be at the tail end of a frontal boundary that will cross the eastern U.S. on Monday, meaning scattered showers may be possible at times. We’ll call it a 30-40% chance of rain on Monday. There is a real chance some spots will remain completely dry. Highs on Monday will be in the mid-60s.
WARMER DAYS AHEAD NEXT WEEK… High temperatures are expected to be near or at 70 degrees by Wednesday of the upcoming week. Sunny conditions are likely on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
