SHOWERS IN CLARKE & WASHINGTON COUNTIES… Scattered showers have developed across southeast Mississippi and across parts of southwest Alabama, specifically in Washington and Clarke counties. These showers are moving northeast. It looks like this complex of showers will continue to develop over the next few hours as it gradually moves into west-central Alabama.
Widespread severe weather is not expected, although a stronger storm or two cannot be ruled out overnight. The overall tornado risk remains very low. No reason to stay awake and worry, but have a way to get warnings just in case a rogue warning or two are needed.
