COOL TEMPS THIS WEEKEND; PARTLY CLOUDY THROUGH TUESDAY… Other than passing clouds at times this weekend, we have several nice, cool weather days ahead. High temperatures on this Friday will be in the low- to mid-60s in many spots across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Chilly temperatures are ahead in the overnight hours as many locales will dip well into the 40s. Saturday and Sunday will be quite nice with only a few clouds and cool temperatures in place across the region. Sunshine continues into Sunday and Monday ahead of clouds returning on Tuesday of the upcoming week.

NEXT ROUND OF RAIN & STORMS BY WEDNESDAY… Our next notable weather system will be a frontal boundary associated with an area of low pressure that will pass likely well to our northwest. The return of warm, Gulf moisture will allow for scattered showers, and potentially thunderstorms, to form on Wednesday and Thursday of the upcoming week. Temperatures will increase to around 80 degrees in the afternoon hours late next week. Severe weather, at the moment anyway, seems less likely with this system compared to our major severe weather system we had on Wednesday. There may be a lower-end risk of severe weather next week. That is something we will be monitoring in the days ahead, but it is certainly nothing to be concerned about this weekend. Get out and enjoy the beautiful, cool weekend!
