FREEZE WARNING INLAND; COLD NIGHT AHEAD… Temperatures will drop to the 31-32° range across inland areas of southwest Alabama. The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning and a Frost Advisory for many of our local counties. The only areas NOT involved in a Freeze Warning or Frost Advisory are areas at the immediate coast where overnight lows will remain closer to 40 degrees. This will be our last night with lows near freezing for awhile as overnight lows on Easter Sunday morning are expected to be in the upper-30s inland and in the 40s closer to the coast.
FREEZE WARNING INLAND… All parts of the following counties are involved in a Freeze Warning: Escambia (AL), northern Baldwin, northern Mobile, Washington, Choctaw, Clarke, Marengo, Wilcox, Monroe, Conecuh, Butler, and Crenshaw. Locales in these counties can expect overnight lows in the 31-32° range by daybreak on Saturday morning.
FROST ADVISORY FOR COVINGTON COUNTY & COASTAL COUNTIES… All parts of the following counties are involved in a Frost Advisory: Covington, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Escambia (FL), southern Baldwin, and southern Mobile. Locales in these counties can expect overnight lows in the 33-37° range by daybreak on Saturday morning.
NICE SATURDAY UPCOMING… Patchy frost and near freezing temperatures will happen between 4AM and 7AM locally. We quickly rebound into the low-60s by late morning. High temperatures on Saturday will be in the mid- to upper-60s across the region. Other than a few passing clouds, mostly sunny skies are expected tomorrow.
