BECOMING SUNNY TODAY; COOLER TEMPS AHEAD ON FRIDAY… After the dense fog dissipates later this morning, a few clouds will persist into the early afternoon hours on this Thursday. High temperatures today will again be close to the 80 degree mark with many communities peaking in the upper-70s. A stalled frontal boundary, currently located to our north, will move across our area on Friday morning, gradually allowing cooler air to move in. High temperatures tomorrow will be in the low-70s. Looking ahead to the weekend, mostly sunny skies are ahead for Saturday. A few showers may happen Sunday. Fortunately, I see no signs of any large scale severe weather events across the Deep South over the next few days.
DENSE FOG ADVISORY UNTIL 10AM… Fog is quite dense this morning in many communities across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Please be aware of this if you’re driving this morning. I expect most of the fog to dissipate by 10AM. That is the time when the Dense Fog Advisory expires. Mobile, Baldwin, Escambia (AL), Conecuh, Monroe, Butler, and Covington counties remain involved in the Dense Fog Advisory in Alabama. Escambia (FL), Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties are involved in northwest Florida.
FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE TOMORROW… The frontal boundary located to our north, technically a very slow-moving cold front, will cross our area tomorrow. This will allow for cooler, drier air to move in from the north. High temperatures on Friday will be in the low-70s ahead of lows in the 40s by Saturday morning. A few showers may happen in the morning hours of Friday as the frontal boundary moves through. Widespread rain is not expected and showers should remain fairly spotty in nature.
NICE SATURDAY; SPOTTY SHOWERS POSSIBLE SUNDAY… Mostly sunny skies are likely on Saturday with high temperatures in the low-70s. By Sunday, a few showers may become possible, particularly in the afternoon and evening hours. High temperatures will be in the upper-60s on Sunday.
