LOWER HUMIDITY AND DRIER DAYS AHEAD… If you’ve stepped outside this morning, you’ve felt that dry, crisp, slightly cooler air that only a “fake fall” cold front can bring! While the relief from the heat and excessive humidity won’t last long, we do get a break today, tonight, and into tomorrow. High temperatures on this Tuesday will be in the mid-80s. Another crisp, slightly cooler night is ahead with overnight lows likely to be in the 60s region wide. Some spots in west Alabama may again briefly dip into the upper-50s tomorrow morning.

FEW STORMS AROUND THIS WEEKEND… Rain chances will slightly increase this weekend as scattered showers and thunderstorms again become possible across the region. There is about a 1 in 3 chance that your community has rain around on Saturday or on Sunday. High temperatures will be in the upper-80s this weekend with morning lows in the upper-60s.

TROPICAL UPDATE – 2 TROPICAL WAVES IN THE ATLANTIC… The Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea remain quiet with no new tropical storms expected to develop over the next 5-7 days. Two tropical waves are being monitored by the National Hurricane Center, both located in the Atlantic Ocean. One tropical wave is located about halfway between the Lesser Antilles and Africa over the open waters of the central Atlantic Ocean. This tropical wave has a 20% chance of becoming a tropical storm over the next several days as a general northwesterly movement continues. Another, separate tropical wave is located in the far eastern Atlantic Ocean near the western coast of Africa and near the Cabo Verde Islands. This tropical wave also has a 20% chance of becoming a tropical storm as a general west-northwesterly movement continues. Both systems are many days away from ever being a potential problem for North America. No stress or worry in the tropics right now!
