STORM ABOUT TO MOVE INTO WEST ALABAMA… The thunderstorm happening near Quitman, Mississippi will cross into west Alabama shortly and bring heavy rain to Butler, Lisman, and Pennington in Choctaw County, AL. This storm is moving a bit to the north of due east this point, thus it seems reasonable to conclude this storm will *very likely* miss Clarke County, AL to the north and pass through Choctaw, Marengo, and northern Wilcox counties if it holds together.

That means our local area in south Alabama and northwest Florida probably will not have severe weather issues until later this morning, potentially after sunrise, although that isn’t a guarantee.

I’ll be intermittently watching radar trends over the next few hours. Get some sleep and have a way to hear warnings!
