MORE P.M. STORMS TODAY LOCALLY; T.S. BRET APPROACHING LESSER ANTILLES… Just like yesterday, pop-up thunderstorms will again be possible across south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Thursday. Most of the storms will develop in the afternoon and evening hours, mainly from 1PM to 8PM. Storms will be capable of producing pockets of heavy rain, gusty winds, cloud-to-ground lightning, and loud thunder. Widespread severe weather is not expected today. High temperatures will be in the upper-80s.
WEEKEND FORECAST… No severe weather is in sight, as of now, after a crazy busy last weekend with tons of severe weather. We will have P.M. thunderstorms around Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Some communities may remain completely dry, however, as storms will be scattered in nature throughout the weekend. High temperatures will be around 90° this weekend with morning lows near 70°.
TROPICAL UPDATE: BRET & 93L IN ATLANTIC… Tropical Storm Bret continues to move westward in the Atlantic Ocean. The system is approaching the Lesser Antilles where Tropical Storm Warnings are now in effect. Bret will cross into the eastern Caribbean Sea this weekend before dissipating in the central Caribbean Sea early next week.
