MOSTLY CLOUDY & COLD TODAY; FREEZE WATCH INLAND TONIGHT… Clouds will persist across the region on this Halloween Tuesday. Temperatures will struggle to get to the 60 degree mark in many communities across the region. Highs will be in the upper-50s inland and near 60 closer to the immediate beach zones. You’ll definitely need the jackets this evening if you’re headed out for trick-or-treating as temperatures will be in the 50s in many spots across the region. Cool days and cold nights are ahead through the end of the week.
TRICK-OR-TREAT FORECAST… Bundle up in the jackets tonight if you’re headed out for trick-or-treating on this Halloween Tuesday. Temperatures will be in the 50s after 6PM tonight, falling into the 40s after 9PM. No rain is in the forecast tonight. Cloudy skies will persist into the evening hours.
COLD NIGHTS AHEAD… Overnight lows will be in the 30s tonight and again tomorrow night. There is a real chance some communities reach the 32 degree mark by daybreak on Thursday. The next two nights will definitely be a time to bring in outdoor pets, outdoor plants, and check and make sure outdoor pipes are properly insulated.
TROPICS: 60% CHANCE OF TROPICAL STORM FORMING IN CARIBBEAN… An area of low pressure may form in the central or western Caribbean Sea over the next 5-7 days. Early model indications point to this system moving nearly due west toward the coastline of Nicaragua or Honduras. The National Hurricane Center indicates there is now a 60% chance of a named tropical storm forming in the next 5-7 days.
