CHILLY TUESDAY; TEMPS NEAR FREEZING MARK TONIGHT… Happy Mardi Gras and Fat Tuesday! High temperatures will be in the upper-50s on this Fat Tuesday. Keep the jackets handy as a chilly, northwesterly breeze will make the air feel colder than it actually is across the region. No rain is expected across south Alabama or northwest Florida today. Overnight lows will be in the mid-30s across much of the region by 6AM Wednesday. Most communities locally will likely be just above the freezing mark by daybreak, but there may be a few communities that briefly dip to the 32 degree mark tomorrow morning.
TEMPERATURES REBOUND BY THURSDAY… Slightly warmer temperatures are in store for Wednesday with highs slated to be in the mid-60s. Mostly sunny skies are likely throughout the day tomorrow. Highs will be in the low-70s on Thursday with increasing cloudiness ahead of our next chance of rain setting up for Friday and Saturday.
RAIN AROUND FRIDAY AND SATURDAY… An area of low pressure will develop and pass to our south during the first half of the upcoming weekend. Rain is likely on Friday evening into Friday night. Scattered showers will likely persist into Saturday morning as well. The overall risk of severe weather looks quite low. Temperatures will be in the 60s and in the mid-50s by Saturday afternoon.
