MOSTLY SUNNY & MILD VALENTINE’S DAY; RAIN TO RETURN LATE FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY… Happy Valentine’s Day! Today will be a beautiful weather day across south Alabama and northwest Florida with mostly sunny skies likely throughout the day. High temperatures will be a bit warmer than yesterday with most spots reaching the mid-60s this afternoon. Overnight lows will be in the upper-30s farther inland tonight with temperatures near the 40 degree mark closer to the immediate coast.
DRY THURSDAY; TEMPS NEAR 70… Tomorrow will serve as a transition day, of sorts, with temperatures peaking in the low-70s in the afternoon hours. I expect dry conditions to persist on Thursday as rain sets up to our west across parts of Texas. This system will ultimately move across our local area late Friday into Saturday.
RAIN LIKELY LATE FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY… An area of low pressure will develop and pass to our south on Friday and Saturday. Rain is likely on Friday evening into Friday night. Scattered showers will likely persist into Saturday morning as well. The overall risk of severe weather looks quite low as the center of the low pressure passes well to our south. Temperatures will be in the 60s and in the mid-50s by Saturday afternoon.
DRY WEATHER LIKELY NEXT WEEK… After the brief shot of cold air this weekend, temperatures will warm into the 60s by Monday and approach the 70 degree mark by Tuesday. Sunshine is likely on Monday and Tuesday of the upcoming week with dry weather likely to persist into the middle part of the upcoming week.
