HEAVY RAIN & STRONG STORMS LIKELY WEDNESDAY… Heavy rain that could lead to flash flooding is likely at times on Wednesday into Wednesday night as multiple rounds of rain move across the region. The Storm Prediction Center has also highlighted ALL of our local area in a severe weather risk on Wednesday as tornadoes and damaging wind gusts will become possible. Be sure to join me in the morning forecast video that will be posted by 7:15AM tomorrow morning with the very latest information.
ECLIPSE MAY BE PARTIALLY OBSCURED LOCALLY… The solar eclipse slated to happen tomorrow afternoon may be partially or totally obscured by clouds in parts of our local area. It looks like the western half of our local area (Clarke, Washington, Mobile, and Baldwin counties, specifically) have a higher chance of cloud cover compared to areas farther east (Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Escambia [AL], Covington, Conecuh, and Butler counties). Conditions specific to your location WILL vary. Isolated showers may become possible tomorrow evening after the eclipse is over.
APP… If you haven’t already, be sure to download the free RedZone Weather app to keep up with all the latest information on the world of weather in south Alabama and northwest Florida. redzoneweather.com/app is the link for the free download. Once you have the app downloaded to your iOS or Android device, be sure to visit the Alerts tab (lower right corner) and tap the Alert Settings button to customize the alerts you would like to receive straight from me.
I will have a full rundown on the severe weather setup coming on Wednesday posted in the morning forecast video tomorrow morning at 7:15AM. Have a nice Sunday evening!
