MOSTLY CLOUDY AGAIN TODAY; RAIN & STORMS SUNDAY… Skies will remain cloudy for much of the day on this Thursday. Just like yesterday, a sprinkle or two cannot completely be ruled out, but the vast majority of the local area will be dry. High temperatures will be in the low- to mid-80s today. Most locales will warm into the mid- to upper-80s tomorrow as we will have more sunshine in the mix compared to today. Our next considerable chance of rain, and perhaps a few thunderstorms, will happen Saturday evening into Sunday. Multiple rounds of rain will be possible this weekend.
PATCHY FOG TO FADE LATER THIS MORNING… Heads up if you’re on the road this morning: There may be patchy areas of dense fog across the region until 9-10AM. Take it slow if you’re headed out early this morning. Fog will be possible again tomorrow morning as well.
PARTLY CLOUDY FRIDAY; RAIN POSSIBLE SATURDAY… Tomorrow will feature less in the way of cloud coverage across south Alabama and northwest Florida. More peeks of sunshine are likely throughout the day. High temperatures will be at the warmest values of the week with most spots peaking in the upper-80s by 3PM. Some communities closer to the immediate coast will peak in the mid- to upper-70s. Cloud cover increases again on Saturday ahead of rain becoming possible Saturday evening.
RAIN & STORMS LIKELY ON SUNDAY… Scattered showers and thunderstorms are becoming more likely on Sunday. Multiple disturbances will move across our area this weekend, prompting multiple rounds of rain and storms. While some of the rain will happen late Saturday evening, it looks like the majority of the rain will happen on Sunday. If you have outdoor plans on Sunday midday, afternoon, and in the evening hours, have an indoor backup plan. The good news is I do not see parameters supporting widespread severe weather with this event, although general (non-severe) thunderstorms are likely at times in the afternoon hours.
FEW LINGERING SHOWERS EARLY MONDAY; CLEARING LATER IN DAY… Monday will feature clearing skies throughout the day. I cannot completely rule out a few showers early in the morning hours, but much of the day on Monday should be dry. High temperatures on Monday will be in the mid-70s.
MAINLY SUNNY TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY… Sunshine is set to return on Tuesday of the upcoming week with more sunshine in store for Wednesday as well. High temperatures will be in the low-80s on Tuesday with mid-80s likely on Wednesday. Overnight lows will be in the mid-50s.
