ISOLATED P.M. STORMS THIS WEEKEND; HOT TEMPS TO CONTINUE… Temperatures will peak in the mid-90s today, tomorrow, and on Sunday with P.M. storms being possible each day. Any storms that develop today and into the weekend will be widely spaced and won’t last long, however, any rain we pick up at this point is highly beneficial as abnormally dry conditions continue across the region. Looking ahead, dry conditions are likely in the middle part of the upcoming week with ever so slightly cooler temperatures! Overnight lows will be in the upper-60s by Wednesday.
HURRICANE ERNESTO NEARING BERMUDA… A Hurricane Warning is in effect for Bermuda as Hurricane Ernesto churns north through the Atlantic Ocean. Ernesto is now a category 2 hurricane with maximum winds of 100 mph. Dangerous conditions are expected in Bermuda on Saturday as the core of Ernesto moves by very near the island. This may be the first direct landfall on Bermuda by a tropical system since Paulette in 2020. The remainder of the tropics are quiet.
