A FEW SCATTERED STORMS TODAY; DRIER CONDITIONS RETURNING FOR END OF WEEK… Scattered thunderstorms will again be possible across the region on this Tuesday. Rain chances will be a bit lower today compared to the last few days. All day rain is not expected in any community. High temperatures will be in the mid-80s. Drier days are on the horizon and the latter part of the week is expected to be sunny and dry.
TROPICAL UPDATE… Potential Tropical Cyclone 8 has made landfall near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The system will NOT acquire the name “Helene,” which will instead be used for the next named tropical storm. We are also tracking Tropical Depression Gordon, located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. No Gulf of Mexico or Caribbean developments are expected over the next several days.
