NICE, SUNNY MONDAY; SHOWERS AROUND ON CHRISTMAS DAY… Sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures will happen on this Monday with highs expected to be in the low 60s. Temperatures will continue to moderate later this week with rain chances increasing on Christmas Day. The good news is the overall signal for any severe weather issues has diminished, meaning and rain and storms that happen on Christmas should be relatively tame in nature. A rather unsettled pattern will persist into the weekend when showers will continue to be possible.

WARMING TEMPERATURES OVER NEXT FEW DAYS… High temperatures will be in the low 60s today with mid 60s likely tomorrow for Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day. Overnight lows will be near the freezing mark (perhaps just below freezing north of US84) tonight but freezing temperatures will be no more for awhile after tonight. High temperatures will be in the 60s on Christmas Day with 70s likely later this week and into the upcoming weekend.

CHRISTMAS EVE EXPECTED TO BE DRY AND MILD… Skies will be mostly sunny tomorrow morning and partly cloudy in the evening hours with nothing in the way of rain or precipitation expected. This is good news if you have outdoor Christmas Eve plans as nothing in the way of hazardous weather is expected. Highs will be in the mid 60s tomorrow.

RAIN & A FEW STORMS POSSIBLE CHRISTMAS DAY… Rain will become possible at times on Christmas Day, particularly in the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures will be well above the freezing mark with no chance of a “white Christmas.” I also do not currently see any signs of severe weather issues happening on Christmas Day. Rain and thunder at times, perhaps. Severe weather, no.

UNSETTLED PATTERN INTO THE WEEKEND… Rain chances will continue to be elevated as we get into the upcoming weekend with multiple chances of showers on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It probably won’t rain all day on any of the days but we will have scattered showers around south Alabama and northwest Florida.
