MORE STORMS LIKELY TODAY; COOLER AIR COMING… Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected across south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Thursday. These showers and storms are due to a stalled frontal boundary that is lingering across our region. More rain is expected at times on Friday. We’ll have a brief break from the rain this weekend as cooler, drier air filters in before more rain late Sunday into Monday. Let’s talk details…
STORMS TODAY & FRIDAY… Keep the rain gear handy today and on Friday. Rain chances will likely decrease throughout the day on Friday, however I do think there is at least some chance that some of the Friday Night high school football games could be wet. We’ll be able to get more specific about that tomorrow.
COOLER AIR THIS WEEKEND… A cold front will push the old frontal boundary over our area to the south into the Gulf late Friday, paving the way for lower rain chances this weekend. Temperatures will be much cooler, with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s.
BIG TIME COLD COMING NEXT WEEK… Some of the medium-range models have alluded that significantly cooler air could move into our area for mid-November. The more immediate models are coming into agreement with this, and there is a chance that about a week from today, we could be dealing with highs in the 50s and lows around the freezing mark. See the 7-Day Forecast graphic in the video for more info about this.
I’ve got all the graphics and details for you in your Thursday #rzw forecast video that will be available shortly in the RZWeather app…
