WARM WEDNESDAY; ISOLATED STORMS POSSIBLE THIS EVENING… Today will be quite summer-like with warm temperatures and a few pop-up showers and thunderstorms being possible this evening. No severe weather issues are expected and vast majority of us across south Alabama and northwest Florida will remain dry throughout the day. High temperatures will rise into the upper-80s by 2PM. Thursday will likely be dry before more showers and thunderstorms become possible on Friday. The upcoming weekend looks seasonal for early May with a chance of showers and storms each day with highs in the upper-80s. Let’s look at a few details…
MOSTLY CLOUDY, WARM THURSDAY… Thursday might be the driest day, overall, compared to the next 7 days beyond it. We’ll call it a 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms with high temperatures again in in the upper-80s.
RAIN COVERAGE INCREASES FRIDAY & SATURDAY… While we won’t have rain all day, there could be a few more showers and thunderstorms around on Friday and Saturday as an area of low pressure moves by. For now, severe weather parameters remain exceedingly low. Thunderstorms will be possible each day, but the storms should be well below severe limits.
MILD NIGHTS; WARM DAYS AHEAD… We are beginning to settle into what appears to be an extended period of an early summer-like weather pattern. High temperatures are slated to be in the 80s with morning lows in the 60s. As we ease toward meteorological summer in June, temperatures will continue their climb into the low-90s over the next few weeks. Our weather pattern is usually pretty benign in summer with the caveat being tropical systems. The 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season kicks off one month from today on June 1.
