NO ACTIVE WARNINGS… As of 10:40PM, we have NO active severe thunderstorm or tornado warnings for any part of Alabama or northwest Florida. Out ahead of the main line of storms in Butler, Covington, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties, the severe weather risk continues. I should be able to give these areas an all clear by midnight or shortly thereafter. Again, if you’re in Andalusia, Opp, Carolina, Rose Hill, Red Level, Greenville, Georgiana, Destin, Crestview, Munson, Milton, Navarre, or surrounding areas, be “weather ready” over the next hour or so.
TORNADO WATCH UPDATES… Some good news: Baldwin and Monroe counties are now OUT of the Tornado Watch. The severe weather risk has ended for all parts of these counties. They join Mobile, Washington, Clarke, Choctaw, Wilcox, and Marengo counties to be trimmed OUT of the Tornado Watch. It won’t be too long until Escambia (AL) and Conecuh counties are officially trimmed out of the watch.
ALL CLEAR… If you missed our Facebook Live, let me reiterate that we are giving an ALL CLEAR to Atmore, Poarch, Huxford, Monroeville, Mexia, Perdue Hill, Uriah, Repton, Range, Evergreen, Owassa, Lyeffion, Beatrice, Bay Minette, Foley, Daphne, Fairhope, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Magnolia Springs, Loxley, Walnut Hill, Bratt, and Canoe. The main line of storms has passed through all of these areas. Thunder/lightning may persist for a little longer, but the severe risk is over.
ALL CLEAR COUNTIES… Just to reiterate: All clear to all parts of Clarke, Washington, Choctaw, Wilcox, Monroe, Baldwin, and Mobile counties from the tornado/damaging wind risk. It’s over for these areas. Flash flooding issues persist.
