4PM HURRICANE MARCO ADVISORY… Above is the latest projected path from the National Hurricane Center for Hurricane Marco. The biggest changes are in the forecast Tuesday and beyond when the track has been shifted a bit more to the west. The short-term projected path for Marco through Monday hasn’t really changed that much. That means that our detailed impacts assessment valid for Monday into Monday night (long post below!) remains on track.

4PM TROPICAL STORM LAURA ADVISORY… Laura will likely be a hurricane (potentially a major hurricane) approaching the Louisiana coast on Tuesday into Wednesday. Further significant forecast changes and track updates are possible, as models still don’t have the best handle on Laura and probably won’t until the system clears Cuba tomorrow evening (Monday evening). Local impacts in south Alabama and northwest Florida from Laura could happen, but seem LESS likely with this update. New full advisory will be posted at 10PM.

I’ll have a special LIVE video update starting between 7PM and 9PM tonight bringing you the very latest on Laura and Marco. See you then!
