90% CHANCE OF TROPICAL STORM FORMATION; BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND LOCALLY… The National Hurricane Center now suggests there is a 90% chance of a tropical storm forming in the Caribbean Sea. There is a tropical disturbance (branded as INVEST 96L) located in the east-central Caribbean Sea that is moving west. While it remains early in the process and there is still quite a bit uncertainty of where this system will ultimately end up, there seems to be somewhat of a trend in the model data that suggests movement to the west toward central America once this system develops. We will keep watching this feature and bring you the latest in the RedZone Weather app. No effects from this system are expected in the U.S. any time in the next 4-5 days.
