MUCH COOLER TODAY; TEMPS NEAR FREEZING BY 6AM FRIDAY… Sunshine is set to return to many spots locally on this first day of April. Cool temperatures are our lead weather headline over the next few days with high temperatures only expected to be in the upper-50s and near 60 today. Overnight lows by 6AM Friday could be near or just below freezing, especially in communities along and north of the US84 corridor. Full sunshine is ahead for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. FREEZE WATCH CONTINUES FOR INLAND COUNTIES… Areas near U.S. Highway 84 and points north are involved in a Freeze Watch due to the potential of temperatures being near or perhaps just below the freezing mark by 6AM tomorrow (Friday) morning. All parts of Choctaw, Washington, Clarke, Wilcox, Monroe, Conecuh, Butler, and Crenshaw counties are included in the Freeze Watch. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
FANTASTIC WEATHER THIS WEEKEND… Gorgeous weather is ahead for the weekend! High temperatures will be near 70 on Saturday, followed by mid-70s on Sunday. Full sunshine is expected each day with no rain in the forecast anywhere close by in the Deep South.
NICE WEATHER CONTINUES INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK; WARMING TREND… Our nice streak of weather days continues into Monday and Tuesday (and perhaps even Wednesday) of the upcoming week. Temperatures will warm into the 80s by Tuesday afternoon.
