TORNADO WARNINGS TO OUR WEST; SCATTERED SHOWERS LOCALLY… It is just after midnight on Saturday, June 19, 2021 and we are watching a weak tropical system move toward landfall in Louisiana. Potential Tropical Cyclone #3 continues to remain disorganized this evening. Several tornado warnings have happened over the last 20-30 minutes in parts of Hancock, Harrison, and Jackson counties in southeast Mississippi. Ongoing, transient areas of rotation continue to happen in the Mississippi Sound. So far, we have had no warnings in south Alabama or northwest Florida.

WHAT TO EXPECT – NEXT FEW HOURS… Scattered showers will continue to be possible over the next several hours. Odds are high that our area will have heavier rain happen closer to sunrise and extending into the morning hours after sunrise. The tornado risk will likely increase somewhat after 4AM locally, as well.

RADAR CHECK AT MIDNIGHT… Locally, a heavier band of rain is moving north across the Pensacola metro and near Gonzalez, Pace, Milton, Pea Ridge, Bagdad, and Muddy Ford. These heavier showers in northwest Florida will move toward Whiting Field, Allentown, Chumuckla, McDavid, Molino, Jay, Mt. Carmel, Brownsdale, Whitfield, and Berrydale over the next hour. Heavier rain is also happening across parts of Mobile County, specifically near West Mobile and Big Creek Lake.
