SUNNY DAYS THROUGH THE WEEKEND; RAIN & STORMS RETURN NEXT WEEK… Another picture perfect early March weather day is ahead for south Alabama and northwest Florida. High temperatures will be in the mid- to upper-70s today with mostly sunny skies likely throughout the day. Other than a few passing clouds through Saturday, our weather pattern will largely remain quiet. Temperatures will increase into the low-80s in the afternoon hours in the days ahead. Rain and thunderstorms are likely to return to our forecast pattern next week with multiple weather systems likely to move by the Deep South. A few more Wednesday morning forecast notes are below.
TEMPS IN 80s OVER NEXT FEW DAYS… It has been quite some time since our local area has had temperatures in the mid-80s. That all changes over the next few days. Mostly sunny skies and warm conditions are likely to persist into Sunday. Overnight lows will be in the 40s overnight and again on Thursday night but lows will be in the 50s by Friday night.
NICE WEEKEND AHEAD… Mostly sunny skies are expected on both Saturday and Sunday with high temperatures in the 80s. It will be a fantastic weekend to get outside and enjoy the beautiful, calm, warmer weather.
RAIN & STORMS EARLY NEXT WEEK… A significant pattern change happens Monday into Tuesday of the upcoming week. Scattered thunderstorms are likely each day, continuing into Wednesday of the upcoming week as well. It is a bit too early to know if severe weather issues will be possible, but we are entering our primary severe weather season that generally lasts through early May. Now is the time to start thinking about severe weather safety plans, long before any real threats materialize. Please let me know if you have any specific questions about this.
