SCATTERED P.M. STORMS TODAY AND THIS WEEKEND… Pop-up showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop this afternoon into this evening across south Alabama and northwest Florida. While not every community will have rain before the end of the day, some will have heavy downpours of rain at times. Widespread severe weather is not expected today or this weekend. Some of the storms may be “loud and proud” at times, however, with cloud-to-ground lightning, gusty winds, and even small hail being possible in some of the storms. High temperatures today and this weekend will be in the upper-80s and near the 90 degree mark.
STORMS AROUND THIS WEEKEND; WIDESPREAD SEVERE WEATHER UNLIKELY… Saturday and Sunday will both feature pop-up P.M. thunderstorms. There is no formal risk of severe weather at this time. Cloud-to-ground lightning will be a concern in the storms that happen this weekend.
HOT & DRY NEXT WEEK… Sunny and hot conditions are ahead for next week. High temperatures could reach the mid-90s by Wednesday and Thursday of the upcoming week with overnight lows expected to be in the upper-60s. Really feeling like summer next week!
