SLIGHTLY LOWER HUMIDITY TODAY AND THIS WEEK; FEWER STORMS AROUND… While one or two thunderstorms may pop up this afternoon into this evening, nearly all of us across south Alabama and northwest Florida will remain dry today. Rain chances are in the 0-10% chance range today and on Tuesday. High temperatures will be in the low- to mid-90s but less humidity today means temperatures won’t feel nearly as oppressive as last week. Rain chances will rise again as we get into the upcoming weekend when scattered storms will become more likely.

TROPICS: TROPICAL WAVE APPROACHING LESSER ANTILLES… The National Hurricane Center continues to indicate that a tropical wave located several hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles has a 30-40% chance of becoming a tropical storm over the next few days. The system is moving westward toward the Leeward Islands. For now, no big concern for the USA.

TROPICS: DON IN THE NORTH ATLANTIC… Tropical Storm Don is on its final track as a tropical system. The storm is now over cooler waters in the northern Atlantic Ocean, southeast of Newfoundland. Don is expected to become a remnant low pressure area later today, tonight, or tomorrow. No direct impacts from Don will happen in the USA.
