STORMS POPPING UP… Now that the atmosphere has destabilized somewhat, thunderstorms are beginning to pop up across south Alabama and northwest Florida. We had a good amount of cloud cover in place across much of the region this morning but clouds are now fewer in number, meaning heat content in the atmosphere has been able to be more stacked. This will allow storms to likely rapidly fire up. Be ready for scattered downpours! Here’s the local radar view showing more rain/storm action over east Alabama currently.
